Electronic information protection is a specific area of network related data and secrecy protection. The headway of the Internet in corporate management systems has, besides its usefulness and indispensability, created a new source of danger regarding the protection of data, information and business secrets.

The spreading of viruses, “worms” provides opportunities for making damage, for the misappropriation of personal data (data, business secrets, codes, photos, private conversations, and other information) by activating one hardware element of the computer for the sake of making profit, sending out aggressive advertising, or simply playing a practical joke on the end user.

Besides the use of state-of-the-art programs and firewalls developed for screening out viruses and other malevolent applications, the systematic testing and monitoring of the vulnerability and the border protection of the internal and external networks are also necessary.
